Constantius Gallus, Caesar, 351-354. Centenionalis (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.00 g, 11 h), Nicomedia. Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius Gallus to right. Rev. FEL TEMP REPARATIO / •SMNB Helmeted soldier to left, shield on left arm, spearing beardless fallen horseman who is turning his head back to right; in field to left, Γ. LRBC 2303. RIC 87. A beautiful piece with a magnificent portrait of fine style. A hint of porosity on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
